Able to predict ?
I was recently searching for new interesting topics to blog about and I came across this very little interesting project. Burson-Marsteller along with 3 very clever men came up with Predict09.eu , an interesting initiative of the public affairs & public relations. On this site they try to make daily and even weekly predictions of the probable outcome of the EU Parliament elections which is scheduled for June 2009. The results are merely based upon a complex statistical model developed by three political guru scientists: Nick Vivyan & Simon Hix from London School of Economics and of course Michael Marsh from Trinity College Dublin. The prediction is mostly based on some previous results and also many national surveys.
Belgium’s forecast for example says that all but CDH & SPA parties will lose . The main winners are going to be (LDD), a Flemish right-libertarian party and a seat probably for a small Wallonian party who appears to be very influential.
